There's been a robbery at school, and as members of the Detective Club, only you can uncover the culprit, but beware: everyone's a suspect! Prove your innocence by collecting sets of Alibi Cards while eliminating incriminating clues. Who will win: the thief or the detective?
This game contains:
- 2 decks of 60 cards each
- 1. Table with scoring
- 1 Pencil with eraser
- 1 Instruction sheet
Ages: 6+
Duration: 15 min
Players: 2+2
How to Play:
1. Turn the top cards of the Stolen Object deck face up and place them face down on the table. This card represents the crime to be solved. The stolen object corresponds to 3 clues in the clue deck. Whoever has 2 of these incriminating clues in their hand can be accused.
2. The youngest player starts by rolling the die to determine the action to be performed. After the action, it passes to the player on their left, who repeats the process.
3. Throughout the game everyone will have to:
- Identify suspects by detecting players with clue cards related to the stolen item.
- Write down suspects in the notebook, so they don't forget.
- Form alibis by gathering groups of 3 clue cards (of the same color) in your hand, representing objects that were not stolen.
- Get rid of the clue cards for the stolen item in your possession.
4. When you create an alibi:
Shout ALIBI so everyone can hear and choose:
- To accuse another player;
- Or see 1 card from each of the opponents;
5. Someone accuses another player:
Only players with alibis can accuse another player.
- To do this, the player making the accusation must return 1 Alibi to the Clue and Shuffle card pile.
- The accused player is showing his game.
If the accused player has two or more Clues cards about the stolen item:
- It's the thief! He was caught and lost the game.
- The detective who filed the charges wins the game.
If the accused player has one or no clues about the stolen item:
- The accusation is wrong! The accused player exchanges 1 card of their choice with the player who accused them.
6. After the accusation is made, it passes to the player to the left who rolls the die and repeats the procedure. If a player runs out of cards in their hand, they draw 3 new cards from the Clue deck.
The game ends when:
- The pile of clue cards runs out – The thief wins!
- The thief is caught – the detective wins!
